Horseback riding in Ocala Florida is FUN!

Relax and enjoy beautiful guided trail rides through the FLORIDA HORSE PARK and on the Ocala GREENWAY Trail System. Also riding at Silver River State Park ! Horseback riding is FUN, SAFE and AFFORDABLE. We offer trail rides on our gentle, safe horses!

See Florida's oak hammocks, pine forests, and green fields. Horseback riding is the best way to see the beauty of the Ocala area. This is truly Florida at its best.

We are the designated horseback riding provider for the Florida Horse Park. We have outstanding horses and our guides have many years experience.

We take ages 6 and up (limited by our insurance). We can take all levels of riders from beginners to advanced.

What We Do

We schedule your trail ride from the beautiful Florida Horse Park. Trails are mostly shaded and very scenic. This is Florida at its best. Typical rides are for 1 or 2 hours, but we can customize a ride for your group.

Singles, couples, or large groups are welcome.

Prices: $45 per person for 1 hour through the Greenway trails and the Horse Park. Mostly shaded and VERY pretty. The ride crosses through Pine forests, Oak hammocks, and georgeous meadow.

1-1/2 hour ride (90 minutes) for $55. When 1 hour just isn't enough, and 2 hours is a little too much!

$65 per person for 2 hours through the Greenway trails and the Florida Horse Park. Mostly wooded and very pretty. You can ride to the Greenway Landbridge or stay in the woods....your choice.

NEW! $65 - See the Landbridge! 2 hour ride over the Greenway Landbridge on I-75. Spectacular shady ride in the Greenway!!! See one of the great accomplishments of our state.

Pricing for Silver River State Park: $45 plus tax for 1 hour ($42.40), and $65 plus tax for 2 hours. Call for reservations: 352-266-9326

New Cancellation policy:

$20 per person will be charged for cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled ride.

Same day cancellations and no-shows will be charged full price. We have to hire guides and haul horses to accomodate your ride. (Sometimes we turn other people away to take your group out.)

Just wanted let you know that our trail ride last Saturday was a wonderful experience. Our 14-year-old daughter is an experienced rider, but still learned so much from Amy and Greg. Sarah is particularly sensitive about how the horses are treated and was thrilled by the love that you all have for your horses and the equestrian sports.

Amy lead our small group and talked with Sarah the entire 2.5 hours about horses and riding and life in general and made quite an impression. Amy also allowed us some extra time to view the eventing course so we could see the International level course and jumps. What a bonus in addition to the beautiful forest trails.

Just returned from our ride and I wanted to let you know how it went.

I'm an Ocala resident of 32 years and had never been horseback riding. My girlfriend from Orlando had not been in years and was recently saying how she wanted to go so I booked a trip with Cactus Jack's.

From the moment we arrived Jamie and Gregg were engaging and helpful to those of us with little to no experience. I was placed in front and rode with Gregg most all of the ride. His calm personality and detailed instructions made for an excellent experience for both of us as well as the entire group. Best I could tell all of the horses were great and no one had any issues. Safety was a big concern of both Jamie and Gregg, allowing us to enjoy our trip and know that if something happened, they could handle it.

We had a great time and plan on booking again in the spring.

On Saturday, my son Dakota and I came up for the ride. I wanted to tell you how incredibly impressed we were with Nicole.

She was such a delight and spent so much time on the ride talking with my son about every aspect of horses and riding, patiently and enthusiastically answering his questions. The horses are obviously so well taken care of, and the Greenway was beautiful, but Nicole really made the experience exceptional.
