We have looked far and wide to find some of the best trained and gentle horses around. We have horses that are safe for kids (6 and up) and timid riders. We also have horses that are best suited for intermediate or experienced riders. We have Quarter Horses, Paints, Thoroughbreds, Rocky Mountain Horses, Argentine Polo Ponies, Heinze 57's, and one terrific Percheron. We take great pride in the care given our horses. You'll see when you come to ride...they are fat and healthy with good feet and good attitudes.
If you are familiar with a particular horse you can request that mount for your ride. We get many repeat riders and some folks like to ride the same horse.

This is Hook. He is a 16 year old Rocky Mountain Gelding. Very gentle, smooth, and big enough to take riders up to 260 lbs. We purchased Hook in Colorado. He has been through a mounted police training weekend and excelled at everything we asked of him. We can shoot off his back. He is very brave and very smooth.

This is Cutter. He is a seventeen year old King Ranch bred Quarter Horse. He ropes, team pens (cattle), plays polocrosse, and trail rides. He is a great beginner's horse and loves kids. We purchased him in San Antonio for our farm and he will always be with us. He is special.

This is Forest Gump. He is a fourteen year old quarter horse. He was rescued off a truck going to Canada for slaughter. He is very sweet and really well trained. He is best suited for the intermediate rider, but will still be good for beginners. He is 15 hands tall. He neckreins very well and has a very smooth trot.

This is Jackson. He is about 23 or 24. He is an Argentine Polo Pony. We purchased him 5 years ago for polocrosse and he has won many trophies and Best Horse awards. He has power steering and power brakes. He is a great horse for beginners through advanced riders. He really likes trail riding and is the first one at the gate every morning. We limit his riding time due to his advancing age, but he is still the best of the best! King Jackson!

This is Marie. She is a 21 year old Thoroughbred mare. She raced and played polo before trail riding. She is an excellent beginner's horse. She never takes a bad step. She will only go as fast as the rider makes her go. She gives her riders a lot of confidence and is really good for the timid rider. She continues to be one of our best horses because she is so gentle and kind.

This is Tiny Tim. Tim is a quarter horse and was trained by a Florida cowboy to do ranch work. He is only 13.2 hands tall(4-1/2 feet tall at his back). He is about 10 years old. He has a lot of spunk, but also likes kids and likes to ride at Cactus Jack's.
