Debbie Zito has owned and loved horses for over 48 years. She and husband Jamie are both riders and own quite a few rescued or retired horses as well as the trail horses used for this ride. We take pride in the care given our animals. We both believe that horses enjoy having a job to do if they are healthy and fit.

Jamie Zito
He was raised in Fort Lauderdale until age of 21. At the age of 23 he moved to south central Florida where he worked as a guide and foreman for a cattle company that also outfitted hunters on Lake Kissimmee. That is where he started riding and loving horses. He moved to north central Florida ten years ago and started Village Air and Electric, which now employs 70 people. Jamie guides on weekends with Deb.

Greg Russell
Greg has had a lifetime involvement with horses including over 30 years experience in the sport of Polocrosse, beginning in his native country of New Zealand. He moved to the United States in 1995 to pursue a coaching and horse training career with the Santa Fe Polocrosse Club. Greg has lived and trained horses, in a variety of disciplines, all over the United States and currently resides at Charlie Horse Ranch in Summerfield, Florida where he acts as the Head Coach for Charlie Horse Polocrosse and works as a horse trainer specializing in young horse development.

Michele Peters
Michele is a full time school teacher at Forest High School, teaching English (God Bless Her). She has owned horses and enjoyed trail riding for the last 8 years. She is great with people and horses and has been a great weekend guide for Cactus Jack’s. She has a thorough knowledge of the Greenway Trails. Guess what? She also plays polocrosse.
Cactus Jack's offers trail rides to singles, couples, or groups. All rides are guided to assure safety for rider and horse. There are trails through the Florida Horse Park and into the Cross Florida Greenway Trail system. Most trails are shaded and quite scenic. This is a very relaxing and fun experience.

Our horses are gentle and friendly. They llike people and enjoy their job. We take excellent care of them and in return they will take excellent care of you.
We use a tall, sturdy mounting block to help riders of all ages in getting on and off. This is much safer and more comfortable for both horse and rider.

We just moved our location to the North East side of the park into the most beautiful spot in the park. There is plenty of shade and fresh water. The trails are right out the back. Perfect!

The Florida Greenway is now completing 2 tunnels for crossing Highways 475 and 475A. The horses can cross safely to the trails on both the east and west side of the Horse Park!

We ride on beautiful trails in thousands of acres of Florida State Land. There are trails that are about 75% shaded for summer riding and trails that are more out in the open for the other seasons. Great trails, well trained horses, and experienced guides make for really happy riders!

We have been taking friends and clients out on trail rides for years. When this business became available it was only natural that we pursue our love for trail riding through this opportunity. Please join us for riding on the beautiful trails provided by the Florida Horse Park and Cross Florida Greenway Trails.
